The History Of Phi Kappa Tau
Phi Kappa Tau was founded at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio on March 17,
1906. Historians of the fraternity have stressed three fundamental characteristics
which guided the founders in establishing this association:
- Emphasis upon innate worth as a qualification for membership.
- Democratic nature of the organization.
- Christian Ideals.
The Beta Tau chapter of Phi Kappa Tau was founded on the campus of Bowling
Green State University on November 19, 1950. For the past 50 years, the
best men on campus have walked through the doors of the FKT
house

X."Fraternity is understanding, it is recognition, it is a joining
with men, in common enterprises. It is willingness to share and to
participate. It is discipline, it is selflessness, it is these
